Fisherman's Pier

 

This is a ceramic piece that can hold about half a quart of water to evoke the feeling of being on the sea. I started with the pier and later molded the clay around it to form a box to provide a shallow tray. There are tiny waves on the bottom to give the illusion that the water is moving. There is a natural gradient from light to dark blue to mimic the depth of the ocean.
